National Guard!?!?!?

Ryan has taken his ASVAB and did quite well!! He is set to enlist next week in the SC National Guard. He will be attached to an RSP unit throughout his senior year, graduate, go to basic training then plans to go to The Citadel, in Charleston, SC (YAY!) and between his freshman and sophomore year will attend AIT and at the beginning of his sophomore year will contract with the US Army to be an officer...thus making him non-deployable. They in turn will pay for his education and he will get to do his monthly drill and GET PAID!!! YAY!! Since he will be under contract to be an officer...he is again non-deployable (YAY!) AND school is paid for (HOOORAY!!) Nick has plans to join the Guard also....hoping I can get him to also take some classes.

One of my best friends becomes a Grandma!!

Well.....I have watched my older brother become a grandparent...and now one of my best friends!

My dear friend, Becky has a beautiful daughter, Erin. Erin just had her first baby...."Ansley Rebecca" and I was priveledged to take a few picture of Mommy and baby.

Although exciting...I think I would still like to wait to have this experience!!!
