Christmas 2006

Nick is in ninth grade and Ryan in seventh...CANNOT believe it!!! The year is already half over!! Dad is home from Iraq and came to see the boys just before Christmas, a great visit was had by all!!

School is right around the corner

As the summer comes to an end, Nick is registered for high school!!! ( can ya believe it??) and Ryan for 7th grade. It's been a very short HOT summer and the boys can't wait til their Dad comes back from Iraq....not too many more months!!!

Rest in Peace, Joe

We recently lost our beloved Joe. We did not get to see him to tell him bye or to get to properly bury him. It is thought he was hit by a car and the folks that found him took him to the only vet that would take him. He lived about 24 hours and due to a broken pelvis and other cuts, they opted to let him go in peace. Joe was a really cool cat, he'd walk the boys to the bus stop...and would even be there in the afternoons to greet them. He will be greatly missed!!!!

Can ya believe it?? Cody is ONE!! And July 4th is around the corner! I know I have not posted in a LONG time. We are still here alive (barely) and kicking (somewhat) Here's Nick (no haircut since my last post..heheh) He's all grown up, taller than I...but..oh well, most people are... He and Ryan are "expressing themselves" with really long shaggy hair. UGH...but hey...if this is the worst thing they do..I am blessed! Ryan would not allow me to photograph him at the lake last night. We went out to see fireworks and they were AWESOME!!!

Hunting with Micah

December 23 was spent with Micah part of the day and Mr. Skey the rest. The boys had the chance to shoot small animals (that big Ben didn't scare away!!) with their BB guns...well, until they left the BB's on the back of the Land Rover and Micah left with them!!! Never did find those BB's!! As shown here, they also spent some time with the shot gun. Micah instructed them like he teaches his marines, you KNOW they ate that up!! (not to mention took VERY seriously!) Zoey and Jack stayed nearby (as you can see in the lower parts of the pictures) The day ended with mexican food and 2 exhausted young men! Thanks Caskey's for an awesome day!!!!!
